Lore

The Drae'Ril are the Sauropod Folk of Sauropod Island, descendants of a migration from the mainland long ago. They are steady, deliberate, and difficult to provoke - an entire people shaped by the belief that the strongest things are built slowly. Among the Drae'Ril, age is honored, and hard labor is holy. Among the Drae'Ril, respect is earned through years of work and reliability. Elders are listened to because they've carried the hardest jobs the longest.

They build in titanwood and stone. broad timber halls with deep stone foundations, heavy joinery sealed against rain and salt air. Their stone does not come from their own hands alone - much of it is formed and supplied by the Draenul, quarried from the Western Island and the ridges of the Cragspire Spine, then ferried and staged through Drae'Ril-held outposts.

The Drae'Ril worship THEOSH and THÜOSH, spoken of as the Father Sun and the Mother Earth. Their rites are practical and communal - work songs, planting marks, sun-watching, timber blessings, and oath-stones set in foundations.

At the heart of their homeland lies the greatest secret the island keeps: a massive Lifespring hidden in the center grove of the Titanwood Forest. Only those charged to tend it, guard it, or the very rare soul permitted to drink for healing may enter. Access is granted only by the Council, and the Council moves on its own timescale - requests of consequence can take six months to a year to decide. This slowness is not seen as weakness among the Drae'Ril; it is seen as discipline.

Most Drae'Ril rarely leave Sauropod Island, relying instead on coastal allies for outside contact and passage. In the nearby Sauropod Reef, Ocean-variant Turtlefolk provide coral blocks, shell-laminate armor, and ferry networks and contacts beyond the island - while the Drae'Ril remain the island's steady spine.

Diet: Ferns, plants, fried foliage
