Sea Elf

Homeland: Ranta coasts, reef shelves, and kelp corridors

Government: Reef Courts led by a Voice, supported by Tide Masters (route-keepers and reefwardens) and Court Elders (treaty-keepers).

Buildings: Reef-woven arcades, coral cloisters, sea-gate terraces, and sheltered tide halls. Ishanar-Ranta is a principal reef-city.

Trade:

• Export: Reef charts, coastal escort work, fineworks suited for salt air, kelp and shell craft

• Import: Ore, timber, grains and livestock, lamp oils and rope goods

Lore & Background

Ranta - The Sea Court

Ranta Druthal are the coastal and reef Elves associated with sea passage, reef law, tide routes, and the old Sea Court tradition.

Their world is built around negotiated boundaries.

A coastline moves.

A reef grows.

A channel shifts.

A storm redraws the shore.

This makes rigid territorial thinking impractical.

Ranta culture instead emphasizes:

passage rights

shared waters

reef stewardship

tide knowledge

port law

negotiated access

Coastal Stewardship

Ranta Druthal do not claim sovereignty over all oceans.

Their Court responsibility centers on the places where land and sea meet:

reef shelves

coastal roads

harbors

channels

island routes

tide gates

This naturally puts them in constant relationship with Aldaecül and other sea peoples.

Sea Kin and Divergence

Ranta traditions contain some of the oldest stories concerning Sea Elves, Tritons, and the peoples of the deep.

Those stories do not always agree.

The modern Court generally treats such matters as questions of shared history and sovereignty rather than ownership.

Modern Ranta Identity

Ranta Druthal are practical negotiators because almost nothing on a coast works without agreement.

Their cultural lesson is simple:

The sea does not respect a border because someone drew it.
