Lore & Background
Valta - The Ward & Archive Court
Valta Druthal are the institutional memory of the Courts.
Their culture centers on:
archives
treaty records
wards
precedent
controlled knowledge
authentication
They preserve not only what Druthal wish to remember, but what later generations may wish had been forgotten.
Knowledge and Access
Valta philosophy distinguishes between:
Preservation. knowledge must not simply vanish.
Access. not every person needs unrestricted possession of every dangerous thing.
That creates one of the oldest arguments inside Valta culture:
Who decides?
There is no universally comfortable answer.
Neutral Record
Valta Druthal often try to maintain records that survive political change.
A royal family may fall.
A Voice may be disgraced.
A Court may split.
The record must remain usable afterward.
Modern Valta Identity
Valta Druthal are respected and sometimes distrusted.
They remember too much.
They also sometimes know things they refuse to explain.
Their greatest virtue is preservation.
Their danger is confusing guardianship with ownership of truth.
